Longhorn Limo
This bike was built around an FXR platform for smooth rubbermount comfort. It is based on an Arlen Ness frame that features a 5 inch stretch in the backbone. The front end is a Ness Massive Glide 41mm unit. The wheels are 18 inch front and rear wrapped in Metzeler rubber of course. The rear fender features a frenched in plate and LED tailight on a Jesse James fender while the front is a Ness steel fender. The rear struts feature built in signals attached to Progressive Suspension shocks to help smooth out the bumps.
The tanks began life as genuine HD parts that were heavily modified to stretch for the five inch frame.
The Milwaukee Iron dash houses a Dakota Digital speedo to keep tabs on the warmed over genuine HD motor. This 80 inch polished V-Twin utilizes Head Quarters heads, cam and ignition and a set of adjustable pushrods to pump out the power. Exhaust is handled by BUB pipes with billet end caps.
The bike features Performance Machine Brakes, Jay Brake Grips, PM controls, and White Bros. Bikini Beach Handlebars. Spark is handled by a Perewitz coil/motor mount painted to match housing Compufire Coils for each cylinder. The transmission was polished to match the motor with its painted cylinders and highlighted fins. A closed primary with a chrome inner and Barnett clutch help it hook up. All the cables are braided stainless. Seat is by the master Danny Gray as always...
This bike rides great, runs smooth and is way stretched out - thus the title "Longhorn Limo"...
